Samantha is a Data Analyst Intern who recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in International Strategy & Diplomacy. During her last year of college, Samantha worked as a research assistant for Dr. Jeremy C. Pope. She wrote articles on her research, developed questions for surveys like the AFS and CES, and focused on issues regarding voter perceptions of federal institutions, ideology, and partisanship. Beyond her work, her academic interests focused on understanding politics in international contexts and through the lens of gender.
She grew up moving all across the United States, which contributed to her love for making connections with people on a personal level, but also finding broader patterns regarding what makes people tick. She is interested in working at Y2 to apply her interests and build her skills.
During Samantha’s free time she likes to watch movies (and rate them on Letterboxd), read books with her book club, paint, discuss art history and culture, travel, and spend time with her friends.
